Mideye Server

The Mideye Server is a general-purpose authentication server, operated and controlled by the service provider (enterprise, bank, government authority). The server is installed in a protected environment, and supports standard interfaces for integrating Mideye protection with access products and web applications. End-user data is either read from an existing LDAP directory, or stored in an internal database.

Key features of the Mideye server:

  • Supported platforms: Windows, Sun/Solaris, Linux
  • Application interfaces: Radius (RFC 2865) for integration with firewalls, access routers and VPN routers. Web API (Java and ASP) for integration with web applications.
  • Operation and maintenance: web interface for subscriber administration, server monitoring, statistics, log and database backup.
  • End-user data: Read from an external directory with LDAP v2/v3, or stored in an internal SQL database. Provisioning via web interface, Ericsson CAI interface or data download from external file.
  • GSM connectivity: Internet connection to the Mideye Switch.
  • E-government services

Mideye Switch

The Mideye Switch provides safe, reliable and cost-efficient real-time delivery of one-time passwords through the mobile network. The switch maintains direct connections with relevant networks to ensure operator neutrality and network redundancy, as well as a migration path towards more advanced SIM technologies.

Key features of the Mideye Switch:

  • Routing of passwords based on network preference and MSISDN analysis
  • Monitoring of network connections and message delivery status

Mideye Services

For non-operator customers (e.g. enterprises, government authorities and banks), a Mideye Server is installed at the customer premises. The Server is operated and controlled by the customer. GSM connectivity is offered through centrally operated Mideye Switches. This simplifies deployment and enables cost-efficient real-time password delivery with centralized surveillance, as well as future migration to more advanced SIM technologies.
